CEO's Letter

Turn around and thrive

We are a 12 year old company in the IT industry. In 2016, we saw an opportunity to open a new front, our own e-commerce, and the trigger for such a change was motherhood. It turned everything upside down and more, with the premature birth of my daughter Laura.

Due to Laura's time in the Neonatal ICU and some setbacks. The only thing I knew was that I needed to make sense of my life and pay attention to the signs of the universe. And that's what was done!

I couldn't change my reality, as I was an executive with experience in multinational companies and teaching at renowned universities. During my sabbatical from 2014-2016, I needed to understand fabrics and the business involved in the home & decor segment.

I took advantage of my IT knowledge and developed one of the first online tableware stores in Brazil. Integrating what was beginning to emerge at the time, the integrating hubs, we took advantage of the favorable atmosphere and expanded our sales channels to more than 15 marketplaces in 3 years.

However, my impatience and urgency to turn the tables were a goal, just launching the e-commerce was not enough. I always thought big, and having a business on the web allowed us to go beyond our territorial boundaries. And it was no different, our experience in our daily sales operation over the years has made us elucidate and prepare for the THE moment.

I say this because, even though we are a lean company, we always strive to improve our internal processes. Supplier selection, production quality, ready-to-deliver products, a varied catalog, agility in preparation for shipping, daily collection, and, most importantly, creating a customer experience when receiving their order are essential control variables for our differentiation positioning.

The balance is... our brand is present throughout the national territory from north to south, we deliver our products to even indigenous reserves in the Amazon, we have grown over 300% in revenue in recent years, and we have gone from being a micro company to a small company.

But you know, we don't deliver "cloths", "products", what we deliver to our customers are moments to be shared, and in these moments, they create lifelong memories.

Undoubtedly, our business is to make connections, to be the bridge for human connections. And through the table, to be the stage for human and emotional relationships.

In April 2022, we started our operation in the United States with Amazon.com, and we can say with great enthusiasm that we had an intensive learning experience and our learning curve was very enriching. It's not easy, it's a race against time, but we had many helping hands and some guided us to make fewer mistakes. And this was and is an essential driving force for a company that finds itself in contact with another marketing culture and thousands of kilometers away.

We had to adapt our products and even develop new products, new labels that go beyond the exchange of Portuguese for English.

In the case of product development, as we work with fabrics, the culture of machine washing and drying was a barrier, as the fear of shrinking and fraying was one of the points of adjustment. And this was overcome, as we developed a waterproof product with laser cutting finish. In addition to having a wonderful digital textile printing quality.

Another line we worked on is napkin holders, mostly handmade by artisans and crocheters. However, we have an opening for generating social impact income in peripheral areas, increasing the volume of this category of product and reaching sales to places that were previously unimaginable for us a year ago. New York, Florida, California, Texas, Washington, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Egypt, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Asia... and we know this is just the beginning.

In the same year, we opened an office in Florida. We have over 300 active SKUs in our catalog, more than 780 products sold in over 45 American states and 3 continents worldwide.

Let 2023 come! We are ready to replicate our success in the four corners of the world and continue with our essence of what TABLE SETTING is for our customers, which is the power to bring people together, share moments and create memories for a lifetime.
